DIsco Party 2.

¿Mas ambientacion para una fiesta disco? OK, aquí van algunas otras ideas: algunos marcos con fotos de tus bandas/cantantes favoritos de la época; muy simple pero se ve muy bonito.
¿Creating more environment  for a disco party?. OK, here are some other ideas: a few frames with pictures of your favorite singers/bands from that time; very simple but it looks really nice.

Y para servir las mesas, ¿que tal unas bandejas imitando los discos long-plays de los 70? - encontré estas bandejas redondas a las cuales puse cinta adhesiva doble cara y sobre ellas unos "discos" hechos con cartulina negra extra gruesa y un centro imitando un disco, de algunas bandas de la época, todo esto debidamente plastificado con papel para plastificar extra grueso de manera de poder servir sobre ellas.

And to serve the tables, how about some trays imitating vinyl records from the 70s? - I found these round trays about the size of a record on which I put double face adhesive tape and on top some "records" I made using extra hard black cardboard and a center imitating a record, from some bands of that time, all of these properly plasticized with extra resistant plastic film so you can actually serve on them.

A mis amigos les gustaron muchos y algunos de ellos querían llevárselas de recuerdo!. Una idea simple pero muy efectiva.
I have to say my friend loved them and some of them wanted to take them back home!!! A simple but very effective idea.

Para el toque final, recorde mis visitas a las discoteques de la epoca y lo primero que vino a mi mente fue la cantidad de espejos que se usaban en ese entonces; ¿resultado?, espejos pequeños de 15 por 15cms. adheridos a la pared con goma de doble cara (parece chicle) que los mantuvo adheridos y luego me permitio despegarlos sin dejar marcas en las paredes. Sobre estos espejos las luces de colores y la infaltable "bola de cristales" brillaban y se reflejaban muy bien creando un efecto de "discoteque" muy real.

For the final touch I remembered my visits to the 70s "discos" and the first thing that came to my mind was the amount of mirror they used then: result?, small 15 x 15cms. mirrors stuck to the wall with double face gum (it looks like chewing gum) it kept them glued to the wall and it allowed me to remove them later without leaving any marks on the walls. The disco lights and mirror ball reflected their lights very well on this mirrors creating a very real "disco" effect.

¿El resto?, unas cuantas "notas musicales" cortadas con una perforadora de EK success, los posavasos atados con una cinta blanca, una "carta de aperitivos chistosa dando la bienvenida a mis invitados y una velas que siempre dan un toque cálido y algo romántico.  Si, reconozco que es harto el trabajo de preparar todas estas cosas, pero aparte del hecho de entretenerme mucho haciéndolo, me gusta disfrutar "creando" el ambiente adecuado para cada celebración. No puedo evitarlo, me encanta hacer fiestas!

¿The rest?, a few "music notes" on the table, from an EK success punch, the coasters tied with a nice white ribbon, a funny "Drinks Menu" welcoming my friends and a candle which is always a warm, romantic touch.  Yes, I have to admit all of these was a lot of work, but I do have a lot of fun doing it and I really enjoy "creating" the right environment for each celebration. I can't help it, I love throwing parties!
